Nordson ASYMTEK SC-450 PreciseCoat® Jet is a jet valve solution developed to deliver high selectivity, precision, and process repeatability in automated conformal coating applications. It is specifically designed to work with medium-viscosity silicone- and urethane-based coating materials.
Supporting a viscosity range of 125–1200 cps, the SC-450 PreciseCoat® Jet provides broader process flexibility. Its enhanced flow control reduces the need for masking and enables reliable coating results in applications with tight masking tolerances.
High Precision and Selectivity
The SC-450 is suitable for low-volume, high-precision applications, offering line widths down to 1.5 mm as well as dot coating capability. It is designed to perform effectively on densely populated PCBs with varying component heights and in areas with limited accessibility.
Thanks to its jetting-based needle design and fast pulse-width modulated (PWM) control, the valve can coat areas that are inaccessible with standard applicators.
Reliable Process Performance and Low Maintenance
The SC-450 PreciseCoat® Jet features a valve design that minimizes air bubble formation, ensuring more stable flow and consistent coating thickness. Reduced material buildup on the needle tip lowers maintenance requirements and minimizes process interruptions.
