The Kyoritsu ICT Focus-2000 Plus is a high-speed, stable In-Circuit Test (ICT) system developed for post-production testing of electronic assemblies. With its compact design, advanced measurement capability, and comprehensive traceability features, it is engineered to deliver reliable test results in mass-production environments.

The new-generation Focus-2000 Plus architecture separates the measurement unit from the PC, resulting in a more compact system design and improved measurement stability.

Advanced Measurement Performance

The Focus-2000 Plus significantly reduces processing time by enabling direct control of measurement boards via an industrial PC. Its MPX system, based on low-power semiconductor switching, minimizes stress on measurement components while allowing high-speed testing.

The maintenance-free MPX architecture ensures low operating costs and uninterrupted operation.

Wide Test Coverage

The system supports testing of a broad range of electronic components and parameters:

  • Short / Open tests
  • Resistance measurement (0.1 Ω – 4000 MΩ, optional 4-wire measurement)
  • Capacitance measurement (0.01 pF – 40 mF)
  • Inductance measurement (10 µH – 40 H)
  • Diode tests (0.1 V – 9.9 V)
  • Digital transistor tests
  • Optocoupler tests
  • Reverse polarity check for capacitors (PASS / FAIL)

With constant voltage and constant current bias measurement methods, the system offers a wide and flexible measurement range.

High Pin Capacity and Scalable Architecture

The Focus-2000 Plus supports:

  • 256 pins (standard)
  • Up to 2048 pins (maximum)

The system is expandable in blocks of 128 pins per card, with no limitation on the number of test steps, providing high flexibility for complex PCB designs.

Fast Test Times

  • I/O test time: 1 ms per pin
  • Component test time: from 0.75 ms

These speeds help achieve short cycle times in high-volume production.

Software, Traceability, and Diagnostics

The Focus-2000 Plus software platform supports:
